Ridge Wallet
Building the Shopify Experience Behind Ridge's Growth Across the US, Canada, the UK, and the EU
Visit SiteThe Engagement
Ridge took a simple idea, a slim metal wallet, and turned it into one of the best-known everyday-carry brands on Shopify. Growth like that keeps a store busy: new materials and colors, new countries, new ways to pay. Ridge needed a development team that could keep up without losing the premium feel that made the brand.
DYODE worked side by side with Ridge's in-house team, release after release. Ridge brought us product launches, international rollouts, and the small details that separate a premium brand from everyone else. We scoped each one, built it, and handed it back ready to ship.
Personalization Buyers Can Trust
Engraving makes a Ridge wallet personal, so it has to just work. We built the engraving box on Shopify line-item properties, so each buyer's custom text travels with their order to fulfillment. Filters block banned words and emoji before they reach a wallet. When buyers found a loophole, we added a second check and closed it.
One Ridge, Four Stores
Ridge sells through separate Shopify stores for the US, Canada, the UK, and the EU. A shopper in London should get the same Ridge as a shopper in Los Angeles. We brought the CA, UK, and EU themes in line with the US store, cart upsell included, and moved the navigation menu to metafields so one setup works across every store. We also tested a GeoIP redirect to send shoppers to the right store for their country.
Flexible Ways to Pay
A premium wallet is an easier yes when the buyer can split the payment. We added Klarna messaging to product pages in the US, UK, and EU stores, plus a Klarna FAQ page for the EU and UK. When Ridge moved its US store from Klarna to Affirm, we made the switch ahead of their May 1 deadline and kept Klarna running for international shoppers.
A Shopping Experience as Sharp as the Product
Most of our work went into the moments where shoppers decide. On product pages we built video variant thumbnails, a redesigned top section, dedicated sections for the Damascus steel wallet, and a Shogun master template that merged two product templates into one. On collection pages we built a new template, a badge system, and better Boost filtering and sorting. In the cart we added an upsell with color swatches and a Klaviyo "Is this a gift?" option.
We also rebuilt the login page mobile-first, moved the theme from SCSS to plain CSS, and tightened the mobile carousel, gallery, and Okendo review layouts so every page looked as finished as the wallet in the box.
