Eight channel audits, then one plan for Bentgo

The Challenge
Bentgo makes lunch boxes, meal-prep containers, bags and bottles, and sells them on Amazon and at big-box retail as well as on its own Shopify store. Bentgo.com has to give shoppers a reason to buy direct: build-your-own bundles, personalized lunch boxes, and licensed collections like Bluey.
Bentgo's parent company, Bear Down Brands, asked DYODE for an outside read on everything feeding that store. That meant paid search, paid social, email, SMS, affiliate, SEO, analytics, and the site itself.
Eight audits, one roadmap
The engagement opened with eight audits under one statement of work. Google Ads, including the Merchant Center feed. Meta Ads, including the Pixel and Conversions API setup. Klaviyo email, SMS, SEO and content, the AWIN affiliate program, GA4 setup and data validation, and a usability audit with feedback from E-Commerce professionals.
For every marketing platform, DYODE checked the numbers the platform reported against Shopify's. The findings were ranked by impact and level of effort, grouped into roadmap themes, and presented to Bentgo's team as a single business audit.
From audit to retainer
Once the audits landed, Bear Down Brands kept DYODE on under a consulting and execution retainer for Bentgo.com. Each month covers E-Commerce strategy, CRO, retention, and oversight of paid media, plus a revenue growth roadmap. Shopify development hours sit alongside the strategy, and the time flexes between the two as the work needs it.
Every development task is estimated and approved before it starts, so the strategy and the build queue stay in one plan.
Discovery, team by team
Early in the retainer, DYODE sat down separately with Bentgo's E-Commerce team, its brand and digital marketing team, and its shipping and warehouse team. Those sessions became a master action tracker organized by workstream.
Analytics and attribution came first, because every other decision depends on trustworthy data. The tracker also covered a marketing calendar built from Klaviyo campaign history and daily Shopify sales, ERP-to-Shopify inventory sync, relaunching lunch box personalization, the cart abandonment flow, returns, and shipping rate-shopping.
The Bluey collaboration
DYODE designed and built the landing page for Bentgo's Bluey collaboration as a mobile-first page on Bentgo's own Shopify theme. It ran on Bentgo.com for the length of the campaign.
Bluey's licensing guidelines govern how the characters are posed and colored, and the art can't be altered, so the characters on the page are approved art, placed as supplied. The page opens on a sky-blue hero, "Bluey's coming to lunch!", with a scrolling strip of Bentgo's brand claims under it.
Two featured products follow, each a full buy box with reviews, price, color swatches and add to cart, with a Bluey character beside it. A carousel carries the rest of the Bluey range, then lifestyle tiles and a Bentgo + Bluey sign-off. On smaller screens the character art resizes, and drops out where it would crowd the product.
What shipped on Shopify
Beyond the Bluey page, the team upgraded the lunch box personalization app, added Global Privacy Control and CCPA handling through Consentmo along with third-party domain verification for Klaviyo, Google, and Bing, and built a hero video section for landing pages.
Smaller releases included custom hover images on selected product cards and new submenu items in the main navigation.
Retention and analysis
On retention, DYODE audited Bentgo's Klaviyo flows and wrote email strategy recommendations, such as re-sending a campaign 48 hours later to non-openers with a new subject line.
DYODE also delivered an LTV and AOV analysis to Bentgo's team as a private web app, and that lifetime-value work carried into next year's planning.
The Results
Bentgo replaced eight separate channel reviews with one prioritized plan. That plan now runs as a standing engagement where strategy and Shopify development share the same hours and the same agenda.
From there the conversation moved to the year ahead: a gift-with-purchase strategy to raise AOV and move overstock, a cashback loyalty program, trademark monitoring against counterfeit sites, and a review of what Bentgo spends on on-site tools.
