The Challenge

AmScope sells microscopes and lab equipment to three very different audiences at once - consumer hobbyists, classrooms, and professional labs - through a catalog spanning hundreds of thousands of SKUs. The storefront had no dedicated internal UX ownership, and the brand's paid-media program was running largely on autopilot, without a strategic account team steering spend or creative.

Orange County-based AmScope needed a partner who could bring rigor to both sides of the business at once: understand how real shoppers were actually navigating that catalog, and take hands-on ownership of the channels driving traffic to it.

The Results

Since 2022, DYODE has served as AmScope's digital strategy and paid-media partner - running a hands-on program across Google, Meta, and Bing, grounded in a usability audit that gave AmScope's sprawling catalog a clear, user-tested view of where the storefront experience could improve.

The Approach

DYODE began working with AmScope in 2022 as a digital strategy consulting partner, kicking off with a full usability audit - moderated user testing across desktop and mobile - to ground any future site work in how real visitors were shopping the catalog rather than assumptions.

From there, the partnership expanded into hands-on management of AmScope's paid-media program, bringing dedicated account strategy to the Google, Meta, and Bing campaigns driving traffic to the site.

What We Did

We ran a full usability audit with moderated user testing on desktop and mobile, producing a prioritized, user-tested roadmap of improvements across navigation, product discovery, and the product detail page.

We migrated AmScope's tag management from Tealium to Google Tag Manager, consolidating and hardening the site's analytics and marketing-pixel tracking.

We took over strategy, campaign management, and performance reporting for AmScope's paid search and paid social programs across Google, Meta, and Bing, reviewed and adjusted with the team on a recurring cadence.
