DITA Eyewear builds some of the most meticulously engineered frames in the world - handcrafted in Japan, sold at a luxury price point, and increasingly customizable down to the lens. Their Shopify storefront had to do justice to that craft while quietly handling the operational complexity of high-AOV, cross-border, customizable commerce.
DITA needed a development partner who could move at the pace of a luxury brand - shipping bespoke product experiences, hardening checkout and tracking, and keeping the site fast, accessible, and compliant - without ever compromising the premium feel of the brand.
The Results
DITA now has a Shopify storefront that keeps pace with the brand: bespoke, customizable product pages that showcase the craft; an enterprise-grade, cross-border checkout; and a site that stays fast, accessible, and compliant as new collections and collaborations launch.

The Approach
DYODE embedded as DITA's ongoing Shopify development team, operating as a prioritized, fully-managed retainer. Every initiative runs through a shared backlog, gets scoped and approved, and ships on a steady cadence reviewed together on a recurring call.
We favor native, durable solutions over brittle workarounds - solving problems with Shopify's own checkout extensibility, functions, and metafields so the store stays maintainable as the catalog and campaigns evolve.
What We Built
We upgraded DITA onto Shopify's Checkout Extensibility, rebuilding the checkout with customized Thank-You and Order-Status pages and a hardened tracking layer (Elevar), alongside Global-E cross-border so international customers check out cleanly. A custom checkout function blocks invalid zero-dollar-only carts on customizable products like the FLIGHT.006X.
On the storefront we shipped a richer customizable-product experience - supporting DITA's interactive 3D frame viewer, adding custom laser engraving with dynamic checkout, and lens metafields for polarized and anti-reflective options - plus a Stockist store locator, EPILUX (Epiluxury) launch pages, Affirm financing, and back-in-stock notifications.
Compliance, Performance & Privacy
Beyond features, we led a multi-phase WCAG/ADA accessibility remediation across the site, a site-speed program targeting Core Web Vitals on the templates that matter most, and a full cookie-consent and privacy build (OneTrust) spanning US and EU requirements - including GA4 payload hardening and tighter control over marketing pixels.
