The Challenge
JubileeTV lets families help an aging parent from anywhere: fix the TV, change the channel, or start a video call on the living-room screen from a phone. Customers buy it as a membership that includes a console, a remote, and the caregiver app, and most of those sales run through the Shopify store.
The membership only works with the hardware, but the cart didn't enforce that. Its third-party cart app loaded slowly enough that a quick shopper could check out a membership with no console attached, and those orders turned into support problems. With many people editing the theme and no version control, every release carried risk.

The Approach
DYODE took on JubileeTV's Shopify development as a retainer. Every request gets an estimate and client approval, then internal QA, code review, a pass on a regression theme, and a smoke test on the live store after release.
We moved the rule that matters most, membership plus hardware, out of an app and into the theme's own code. Bigger page changes go out as Intelligems tests rather than straight to every visitor.
A cart that can't split the bundle
We pulled the Rebuy widget out of theme.liquid and rewrote add-to-cart so one click puts the membership and the hardware in the cart together. Listeners on Rebuy's cart events keep the pair in sync as the cart changes.
On the cart page and in the side cart we removed the quantity selectors and the button to remove the hardware, so the order that reaches checkout is the order JubileeTV can fulfill.
A homepage built to be tested
We built a new homepage from JubileeTV's Figma designs and set it up as an Intelligems test template against the existing homepage, so the switch gets decided by shopper behavior, not opinion.
We also moved JubileeTV's paid-traffic landing pages out of Figma files and duplicate themes and rebuilt them as standalone page templates on the live theme.
Support, signup, and speed
We redesigned the Customer Support page with new content blocks, anchor links, and accordions, and added click tracking to each support option so JubileeTV can see where people go for help. We moved the footer signup form from HubSpot to Klaviyo.
Smaller fixes add up: a rotating, sticky announcement bar that hides as you scroll down on mobile and comes back when you scroll up, a layout-shift fix on the desktop blog template, and the compatibility page, quiz, and landing pages moved over from the work-in-progress theme.
The Results
Shoppers can no longer check out a JubileeTV membership without its hardware: add-to-cart adds both, and the cart won't let the console be removed. That rule now lives in the theme's code, not in an app's load timing.
Releases follow one path, from code review and a regression theme to a live smoke test. The new homepage runs as an Intelligems test against the current one, so JubileeTV makes the call on real shopper data.
