The challenge
Rise Bar makes protein bars from a short list of real ingredients, in whey and plant-based versions, and sells them on its own Shopify store as well as in shops. The store was simple, and the marketing behind it ran without much of a plan.
Facebook ads ran on broad targeting, the affiliate program drew mostly coupon sites, and the Klaviyo account had never sent a regular campaign. Rise Bar wanted an outside view of the whole E-Commerce business and a clear order for what to fix first.

The approach
We started with an audit. Twenty shoppers tested the store on desktop and mobile across four browsers, recorded as they went, while our team scored the site, its analytics and its marketing accounts against E-Commerce best practice.
We logged 26 issues and ranked each one by potential, impact and ease, then audited Google Ads, Facebook, the affiliate program and Klaviyo, and set out a roadmap for email, paid social, affiliates, loyalty and retargeting.
What shoppers ran into
Search returned blog articles instead of bars. Reviews didn't show on mobile, the nutrition panel was hard to read, and a floating email button covered much of a phone screen.
Testers looked for PayPal and Apple Pay at checkout and didn't find them, and the subscribe-and-save discount was easy to miss.

The redesign
The findings became the brief for a new homepage and product page on Shopify's Debut theme: a full-width lifestyle hero, the brand's values above the fold, best sellers with add to cart, press, reviews and a shoppable Instagram feed. We added quick view and more payment methods at checkout, and the floating email button came off mobile.
Each product page got its own ingredient graphics, built as Shopify sections so Rise Bar's team could change images and copy per bar without a developer.
Email in Klaviyo
Rise Bar made DYODE its agency for email in Klaviyo, covering strategy, design, copy and builds. We set up segments for regular sends and rewrote the abandoned cart flow.
Then we ran the calendar: a recurring We Rise Wednesday email, a National Honey Month feature, and launch emails for new combo packs.
Paid social and affiliate
Under a separate marketing agreement, DYODE ran Rise Bar's Facebook advertising: audience and budget recommendations, ad design and copywriting, and monitoring and reporting. Rise Bar supplied creative and approved every ad.
We also managed its affiliate program, keeping promotions, banners and links current, inviting and managing publishers, setting commissions and sending publishers a regular newsletter. For tracking, we set UTM standards, built a tracking plan and gave the team a self-service dashboard.
The results
Rise Bar got a ranked list of fixes drawn from real shoppers rather than guesswork, and a redesigned homepage and product page its own team could update through Shopify sections.
Email went from automated flows alone to a planned calendar of segmented campaigns, run for the brand in Klaviyo, and paid social, affiliate and tracking ran under one agency. Rise Bar has since rebranded and moved to a new theme; the photos on this page come from its current store.
