Overview

Satechi is a leading consumer electronics brand known for premium accessories designed for modern workspaces and Apple ecosystems. As the brand continued to scale globally, their existing headless frontend became increasingly difficult to maintain. This created friction for internal teams and limited their ability to leverage Shopify's native tools.

DYODE partnered with Satechi to redesign and rebuild their ecommerce experience on Shopify Plus, migrating away from a headless architecture to a custom-built Shopify theme. The result is a faster, easier-to-manage site with a user-friendly UX and a flexible foundation built for growth.

Migration From Headless to Native Shopify

DYODE rebuilt Satechi's frontend using Shopify's most up to date theme architecture. This allowed the brand to fully leverage native features such as Search and Discovery, metafields, and sections everywhere. The result was dramatically reduced complexity along with improved maintainability and speed.

Custom UX and UI Design

Working closely with the Satechi team, DYODE evolved the existing visual language into a refined, conversion focused UX. Customer journeys were mapped, pain points were addressed, and layouts were optimized to balance product education with efficient shopping, especially on mobile.

Feature Rich Custom Theme Development

DYODE developed a fully custom theme that included:

• A global header with a robust mega menu • Custom collection pages with filtering, sorting, product badges, and review stars • A flexible product detail page featuring upsells, bundling, iconography, accordions, and product recommendations • A custom AJAX side cart with upsells and a dynamic free shipping bar • Modular sections that allow Satechi's team to manage content without developer support

Third Party Integrations

To support marketing, merchandising, and operations, DYODE implemented and optimized a suite of best in class tools, including:
